My Problem With…
(ht: Rick) Street Interview Vids. First watch this:

There is no doubt that many people have ill-feelings towards “Christians,” but my problem with Street Interview Vids is that the responses are hand picked to make the point you want to make. We could probably take the raw footage of these interviews and just as easily switch the roles.
There were probably a few responses to “Christians” that were kind and positive, and probably just as many responses to “Jesus” that were not so kind.
Case in point: It was interesting to see some of the same people respond in very different ways, but notice we also see quite a few new faces in the “Christian” section. These new faces very likely had a negative or at best neutral reaction to “Jesus” as well.
BTW, did i really hear someone say “Texas” as a response to “Christians” … that is pretty freakin’ hilarious (in the sense that I smiled… eh.. .whatever). I imagine it’s totally different growing up outside the Bible Belt, but that’s just funny. And, no, we “Christian Texans” don’t Car Pool to church… We HorsePool, wear 10 Gallon Hats, and have spurs on ALL our shoes, not just our boots. ![]()

i like to take the hay ride to church.
Hi Jeremy,
Believe it or not, in the 45 minute timespan of shooting this video, we had ONE positive comment about Christians. Every person we spoke to (with the exception of the one…) held a negative perception of Christians. It blew our minds.
Texas Christians. Scary.
As stated, i certainly believe that a large number of people share this negative view. One positive in 45 minutes is a bit suprising. Obviously, with the stats you mention this video does do a good job of getting the actual pulse of the people. I’m not so sure about all street interview vids, but point well taken. Good job guys.
