That’s right… after all the buzz… all the great performances –individual and team– leading up to this point. So many sub plots… Teams trying to solidify their place in history, players trying to prove naysayers wrong, and coaches trying to silence critics…
Tonight the games begin and we’ll see if all the recent hype is worth it.
9/8 central - Fox Soccer Channel - USA vs. Guatemala in the opening rounds in the quest for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Our first real step in recovering from the ridiculous World Cup showing last year.
Oh… yeah… and that other game. King James and His Merry Men vs. The Big Fundamental and his cry-baby-smorgsasborg-cant-whine-anymore-so-we’ll-play-dirty motley crew.
