Another week down, and things continue to improve. There was a lot more energy this week from the band (including myself) and the students. This is a good thing with one exception… The energy got the best of me and at times I ignored everything I learned about singing and it was a bit “yell-ish.” Especially on Sweep Me Away, which is disappointing, but alas, such is life. Filming has really helped me catch a few of these things that I might otherwise miss.

I personally think the video confessionals are improving as well; no longer just me sitting there boring everyone to death. But, maybe it’s just me… Tristen has a special message starting around the 5:30 mark.

Oh, and, this angle is worse than last week’s angle. and I’m wearing a black hat so it almost looks like I don’t have a head.

Line Up (key):
All To You (Lincoln Brewster) - E
Not To Us (Chris Tomlin) - B
Sweep Me Away (Charlie Hall) - Played in B, Voiced in E (i think … my theory is failing me at this point)Team List is on the video. Usual suspects.

  1. Nice lunch.

I think the reason I don’t do sweep me away is because of the recording and all the stuff Charlie says during it. Didn’t pass my velveta filter.

  2. that is a great point. One of the first things I told the band when playing the song for them was to ignore all the extra fluff (the velveta you’re talking about).

I dunno, i guess i just like vamp songs.

  3. looks like our second daughter is a backpack with hair that snores.
