Since my bro-in-law firstĀ brought this show to my attention, I’ve been trying to tell him that Bear is a fraud… a complete fraud… I had only my intuition and this thing called common sense to base it off of. In my view, if you wanted a real survivor guy, check out the original, Les Stroud Survivor man.
Then, sunday, my pastor (who turned me on to SurvivorMan) sings his recent praises for Bear and Man vs. Wild… I was so disappointed. Seriously. Man vs Wild = Fraudulent.
And now.. finally vindication! From the UK, where the show is known as “Born Survivor:”
TO LIVE up to his public image of a rugged, ex-SAS adventurer, it must have seemed essential for Bear Grylls to appear at ease sleeping rough and catching his own food in his television survival series.
But it has emerged that Grylls, 33, was enjoying a far more conventional form of comfort, retreating some nights from filming in mountains and on desert islands to nearby lodges and hotels.
Please allow the inner child in me to come out for a few seconds:
NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH! I WAS RIGHT YOU WERE WRONG BEAR IS A FRAUD….
(end inner child rant)
In all seriousness, it sucks being right all the time. I wonder when the US press will pick up on this.
hmmm…ok…the show still rocks. lol
and so does survivorman.
I’ll believe the lie…join us…join us…
i think people just like to watch him make a fool of himself, knowing that it is not real. he must get paid a lot of money to drink his own pee when he could just go to the motel down the street for some ice water….or was it really lemonade?
