No fighting chance

So… this isn’t good:
10 Fattest Cities In America (see if you can figure out the common thread between the ones in Bold):
1. Las Vegas
2. Arlington, Tx
3. San Antonio
4. Fort Worth, Tx
5. El Paso, Tx
6. Dallas
7. Miami
8. Oklahoma City
9. Mesa, Ariz
10. Houston
A little geography lesson for those of you outside of Tx… Numbers 2, 4, and 6 are all in the same metropolitan area… where I happen to live and work. I blame the city and state for the reasons behind my fatness.
(Taken from Men’s Fitness, … I pulled these from this months edition of the mag… studies the largest 50 cities in the nation, information based on the various categories in the link above… you can even play with the rankings some…)

well, what should we expect?? everything is BIGGER in TX!
I’m doing my part in SC. Trust me.
Wait. You read Men’s Health?
I think as far as states go, Mississippi is the fattest state. Three years running (maybe running isn’t a good word)

I saw a video in school where a guy went to McDonalds for every meal in many different states. The state that asked him the most times if he would like to super size his meal was none other than Texas. (and they won by a big margin). That might have something to do with the list that you posted.
re: Blake - Well, we know what i read and we know what you don’t read… I clearly read “Men’s Fitness” and you clearly don’t really read my blog…
but, in all serious… no I generally skim through Men’s Fitness because its really not that great. When I subscribed to Men’s Health, I usually read every issue cover to cover (didn’t seem to help though) … the difference? Men’s Fitness is for guys who care about their image, Men’s Health is for guys who care about their health… makes a world of difference. I’ll be switching back as soon as this pre-paid (dang it) subscription is up.
